Brief description of the purpose of the privacy policy

This Privacy Policy covers how chicken road collects, handles, and protects any personal information you provide - or that we gather automatically - while you use the site. We take privacy seriously. Not because a law says we have to (though GDPR does say exactly that), but because it’s the right way to run a site people can actually trust.

Chickenroad is an informational platform. We’re not a bank, we’re not storing payment card numbers. But we do collect some data, and you deserve to know what, why, and for how long.

Use of the information collected: to improve the site, optimize performance and analyze data

The information we collect falls into a couple of buckets. First, there’s data you give us directly - like an email address if you fill out a contact form. Second, there’s data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device info, pages visited, time spent on each page.

Why do we collect this? To understand how people actually use chicken road. If a particular review page gets thousands of visits but people leave after 10 seconds, that tells us something’s wrong with the content or layout. Analytics data helps us fix that. We use it to optimize loading speeds, identify broken links, and figure out which topics our audience cares about most.

We don’t sell this data. We don’t hand it to brokers. It’s used internally, full stop.

Description of measures taken to protect personal data

Personal data stored on our systems is protected through a combination of technical and organizational measures. The site runs on HTTPS - all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted. Access to backend systems is restricted to authorized personnel only, with multi-factor authentication required.

We conduct periodic security reviews. Any third-party service providers we work with - analytics platforms, hosting providers - are contractually required to handle data in compliance with applicable privacy law. We don’t just cross our fingers and hope they’re trustworthy; there are actual agreements in place.

Data is retained only as long as necessary for its original purpose. After that, it’s deleted or anonymized.

Chickenroad uses cookies as described in our separate Cookie Policy. The short version: cookies help the site function, help us analyze traffic, and remember your preferences. No cookies are used to track you across the web for advertising purposes.

Users’ ability to view, modify or delete their personal information

You have the right to access whatever personal data we hold about you. You can request a copy, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion entirely. Under GDPR Article 17, that’s the “right to erasure” - sometimes called the right to be forgotten.

To exercise any of these rights, send a request to contact@chicken-road-login-review.org. We’ll verify your identity (just to make sure we’re not handing someone else’s data to a stranger), then process the request within 30 days. In most cases it’s faster than that.

You can also object to certain types of processing, or request that we restrict how we use your data while a dispute is being resolved.
